Preschool Storytime
| Lap-sit Babytime @ 10:30 am on Tuesdays is designed to introduce babies to the library in a gentle and creative environment incorporating music and literature using fingerplays, nursery rhymes, and a short story. Caregivers are encouraged to play and sing with the babies, creating a special reading relationship. Occasional giveaways will be provided for the caregivers. This is a program for babies (birth to 12 months) who must be contained in caregiver's lap. | |
| Baby-Tot Time @ 11:30 am on Tuesdays is a 20-minute program for the very young child and his/her caregiver. It's designed to promote music and literature through simple short stories, music, fingerplays and songs. It provides a flexible yet gentle environment where children are encouraged to listen, learn, and participate with their caregiver and other young children in a library setting. There will be a giveaway each week for the children. This program is for children up to age 2. | |
| Preschool Storytime @ 11 am and again @ 11:30 on Wednesdays Children who have the ability to sit still during a couple of stories and interact with other children their ages. There are a number of stories each week along with fingerplays and songs. If their children are comfortable, parents and caregivers may browse for books elsewhere in the library during Preschool Storytime; however parents and caregivers should not leave the building. This program is designed for children ages 3-6. | |
| Toddlertime @ 11 am on Thursdays is aimed at those children ages 18 months to 3 years that just aren't ready to sit still yet. There will be lots of activity between and even during stories. Toddler Time also includes the parents and caregivers in the activities and lasts approximately 30 minutes. Children 18 months to 3 years are welcome to attend. | |
